Edmonton’s City Hall’s foundation is centred on
a pyramid design. Built in 1992, it was one of the first non-conventional
designs to seat itself in the downtown core. It is an award-winning design
created by famed architect Gene Dub. The city’s communications department
called wanting some signature photos for marketing and advertising. They left me in charge of creative withe the only condition that they wanted
to have the City Hall photographed at different times of day and locations. It
was fun to see how the structure responded to light at different times of day.
